Luxembourg Gardens
This garden, very popular with tourists, remains a local garden in spite of everything. It has been frequented by successive generations of Parisians, who enjoy model sailboat races on the central pond, pony rides, snack breaks in small huts made of green wood (seven of them remain) and swings.

NOTRE DAME
Notre-Dame-de-Paris was constructed from 1163 to 1330. It is a masterpiece of French gothic art, restored during the 19th century by Viollet-Le-Duc. It bears witness to great moments in the history of France.

EIFFEL TOWER

It was built by the engineer Gustave Eiffel in 1889 for the World Fair. 317 metres tall, it includes three levels and houses the capital city's radio and television antennas at its summit.
The machine rooms (in the basement of the west and east pillars): visit the elevator machine rooms of 1899, with a surprising show that recalls the world of Jules Verne.
LUXEMBOURG PALACE

In 1613, Queen Marie de Medici, who had recently purchased the mansion from François de Luxembourg, assigned Salomon de Brosse the task of building a beautiful residence that evoked the Pitti Palace of her native Florence. A major expansion was undertaken starting in 1835 by the architect A. de Gisors, who erected the new facade overlooking the Luxembourg Gardens. Features include interior decor in neo-Gothic style, the library ceiling by Delacroix, medallions painted by Van Thulden and ceiling paintings by Jean Monnier.
Since 1852, the palace has been used to house the Senate.

SAINTE CHAPELLE

A treasure of Gothic art, erected at the order of Saint Louis in the middle of the 13th century, it includes radiant stained-glass windows and a rose window dating from the 15th century. Sainte Chapelle is located within the Palais de Justice in Paris.
